The Big Move

Well it was a crazy busy year.  Thankfully our sells continue to grow.  We had to move our business during our busiest June we have ever had on record.  So we are all greatful for the change in season so we can breath a little bit now.   We had to move because Grandfather (landowner) decided he wanted to take our customers away but we are actually very excited about moving everything to the second location.  We have very loyal customers and are greatful for them.  Thanks for all your business this year.  Next year we are expecting an even better year for ground cover.  We are bringing in lots of new varieties so you have even more to choose from.
Merry Chrismas

Is Spring Finally Here?

We have been waiting and waiting for spring to show up.  Today was a beautiful spring day.  Don't get me wrong we love the water.  I just want it to come in the form of rain not snow.  It will be a late start but people are getting the spring fever.  The ground cover looks better than it ever has this year and we will be ready to sell the same amount of plants in a much smaller window of time.  All of our ground cover has been hardened off so you can plant it in the snow if anyone really couldnt wait.  That is what is so great about buying in cold climate markets.  Our cold crops of ground cover hardly even shock when we ship them this time of year.  It gets more complicated in the heat.  Hope your all ready for Spring!  Happy Planting

Dont let the snow get you down

It is The first week of April and we woke up to more snow.  We are ready for Spring!  You never know what the weather is going to do.  It slows down sales but the ground cover really doesn't mind as long as we dont let it get too soft.  We grow the ground cover cold so it can handle the extreme changes in the spring time.  So if you have already planted some of your ground cover don't worry it will be fine.  If you are waiting just look at the ten day forecast and see if there is any hard freezes coming.

Cerastium tomentosum Snow-In-Summer

Cerastium tomentosum Snow-In-Summer

Snow in summer is covered in pure white flowers in early June. Fast spreading, mat forming plant with fuzzy gray-green leaves. Plant in well drained soil in full sun. Very drought tolerant. Lightly shear after blooming to keep plants looking neat.  This is a very popular plant in our region because of its hardiness.  It is a very durable plant that can handle some pretty severe climates around the U.S.
